On our sixth day in Grenada, we traveled into the mountains to the town of Grenville. There we visited the Golden Years Center to hold a health symposium for the Golden Years club members. We presented on Breast Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Prostate Cancer, and Menopause. My classmate Carly and I presented on Breast Cancer and also demonstrated how to preform a self breast exam. We distributed breast models which contained masses to allow the audience to practice for themselves. Following our presentations, we took blood pressures, checked blood glucose levels and got to know the Golden Years members, who were an extremely lovely group. We ended our time there enjoying a mug of very scrumptious porridge.
